What’s Included in Your Family Go Kart Racing Experience

Every family go kart session comes bundled with everything you need for a thrilling-yet-safe time on the track:

  • A clear, easy-to-follow safety briefing to get everyone up to speed before you race
  • Consistent speeds set at 20kph to keep things fun, friendly, and fair for all ages in both the children, tandem and adult karts
  • An 8-minute session on the track—plenty of time for laughs, a little friendly rivalry, and seeing who’s got the quickest reflexes in the family

We have 2 specially designed tandem karts for adults to drive their young children between 4 and 7 years as a passenger.  A parent or guardian is required to drive to keep the young passengers safe.  The tandem karts are available in a Family race, and are speed restricted. The child/passenger seat is quite small and in some cases a child may not fit. In this case we will endeavor to get the child driver into a junior kart, however safety is our priority and this is not guaranteed. We have to assess how many other drivers are on the track, and the ability / age of the child, and the safety of other drivers and track staff. Apologies if we are unable to get your child on to the track. Please make a booking and let us know if you want to use a Tandem Kart, as they can be under high usage.

Speed and Safety Features

Our family go kart races are designed with safety and enjoyment in mind—no matter your experience level. All karts are fitted with speed controls and run at a family-friendly pace of 20kph, making them perfect for first-timers, kids, and adults who want a friendly race without the full-throttle intensity.

Before hitting the track, every driver receives a comprehensive safety briefing, ensuring everyone knows the rules and feels confident behind the wheel. Junior karts are specially sized for children aged 8–13 years, providing easier handling and extra comfort, while a minimum height of 1.25 metres is required to reach the pedals safely. For our youngest racers, the tandem karts let adults drive with passengers aged 4–7, featuring reduced speeds and added safety measures for peace of mind.

All our vehicles are meticulously maintained and routinely checked for safety, featuring robust engineering —so you can focus on having fun racing family and friends, knowing you’re in good hands.

For any questions or to arrange a session outside regular hours, feel free to get in touch!

* Each Session is approximately 20 minutes long. This allows for a ride time of approximately 8 minutes for each race, plus time to get in and out of the karts, and last minute safety checks. We spend a lot more time with junior races ensuring they are comfortable in the karts, and are happy using the brake and accelerator before we allow them to ride.

What Do Our Customers Say?

Our guests often tell us that a visit to our track is packed with excitement and friendly competition. Many highlight the thrill of the race itself—whether they’re reliving the pure joy of old-school petrol power or tackling our exhilarating new track, complete with hairpin corners and speedy straights. Families especially appreciate the welcoming atmosphere, mentioning how staff go the extra mile to make sure everyone has a safe and memorable day, from navigating the track bends to taking their first spin behind the wheel.

Parents note how easy it is for young racers to find their confidence, thanks to our helpful team and karts designed with kids in mind. Visitors love the flexibility too, often remarking that less crowded sessions make for fantastic, head-to-head family showdowns. Across the board, reviews mention the attentive service, with staff always ready to assist—whether it’s making sure the little ones are comfortable or helping seasoned drivers chase their need for speed.

All in all, our track earns top marks for providing fun, competitive, and family-friendly karting, making us a top choice for locals and visitors alike.

Why are Rides only 8 Minutes?

We’ve found that 8 minutes is the sweet spot for fun and safety. In the past, we offered longer ride times, but we noticed a sharp increase in accidents—especially in the final two minutes of the session. Shortening the ride slightly has helped keep the experience safe and enjoyable for everyone, especially for younger riders.

So please do not try and get your younger child into an adult race, its just not safe! If you are worried they are too large for the smaller kid karts, we are happy to put them into an adult sized kart at the same restricted speed

Participation Requirements

To get behind the wheel, all drivers must be aged 8 years or older and stand at least 1.2 metres tall. To race in a tandem kart, an adult caregiver must drive the child between 4 and 7 years. The child must wear a helmet and be able to hold onto there personal steering (its just cosmetic!) Drivers need to be around 120 kg or less for safety but in some cases drivers above this weight are able to drive. Before hitting the track, everyone receives a full safety briefing to keep things fast and fun, but above all safe.

For your best experience, we recommend closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing. Helmets are provided, but if you've got your own certified helmet, feel free to bring it along. Long hair should be tied back, and any loose items or jewellery stowed away securely. We want you focused on chicanes, not chasing earrings mid-race!

Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be politely shown the pit lane—safety always comes first. Lastly, if you have any medical conditions (like heart issues, or epilepsy ), please check with your doctor before taking part. Pregnant Drivers are unable to race on our track.
